'This year's Hora Finfinne is attractive and calm' - Participants

The festival, which started from the evening, was celebrated in the morning when the celebrants went out to Masqalaa Square and the venue.
Many young people from different parts of Oromia came to Finfinnee to celebrate the festival.
Many slept in the same field until dawn.
Strong checks and security by security forces ensured peace and order during the festival.

After the Horri Finfinnee was opened with the blessing and celebration of the Abbootii Gada and Abbaa malkaa, the celebration continued until midday.
The area of Doloolloo Buddeenaa and Masqalaa Square is packed with celebrants from morning till now. Everyone is celebrating and returning.

Apart from the Oromo who were dressed in traditional costumes, many other ethnic groups also participated in the festival wearing their own traditional costumes.

“I am coming to celebrate Irreecha with Oromo for the fourth time this year. The atmosphere of welcome and respect shown by the Irreecha celebrants is very pleasant. I enjoyed it very much.” they said.

Ms. Aragagash Gada said she has participated in the Irreecha every year since it returned to Finfinnee.
“It’s been more than a month since the preparations started in Finland. The face testified to the joy of the crowd. The Gadian system should embrace culture. The respect here is exciting,” he said.
Other ethnic groups participated in the festival
Oromia has a beautiful culture, she said, adding that the Oromo should focus on maintaining their peace.
“The Oromo must keep their peace. Parents need to counsel their children. a father who wants for politics should not torture our children. We want our safety,” he said.

He urged the Oromo to continue the joy they see at Irreecha and work on establishing peace to see even greater joy tomorrow.
“Irreecha is a day we look forward to with joy and longing and we will have a lot of fun coming and celebrating in groups wearing the same traditional costumes forever,” said one of the participants from Salale.
